Meeting Our Presenters

Natalie M Barnhard, PTA, LMT

Founder and President
Motion Project Foundation

At the age of 24 while working as a physical therapist assistant and licensed massage therapist, Natalie was involved in a workplace accident that caused a spinal cord injury resulting in quadriplegia. She experienced firsthand all of the challenges somebody with this type of injury faces during the recovery process. She started Motion Project Foundation to assist people in her community with quality of life, grants, rehabilitation, support, advocacy and more. Her mission is to help to continue raising awareness in and around Western New York so everyone has the best chance for recovery.

Melissa Conklin, MS in Exercise Science

Lead Recovery Specialist

Motion Project Foundation

Throughout my employment at Motion Project, my clients have shown me what true dedication and perseverance is. As a trainer, it is not only important to know your clients but to understand their goals, obstacles, and motivation not only for exercise but for life outside of the facility. Knowing that I am helping my clients achieve their goals, learn more about their bodies, and doing activities they thought were impossible makes this job so rewarding.
