REFERENCE CENTERS

The Rehaklinik Zihlschlacht specializes in the treatment of brain and nerve-injured patients, and has recently been appointed as the first DIH Center of Excellence in Switzerland. For 30 years, the rehabilitation hospital and its employees have been focusing exclusively on the treatment and recovery of stroke, brain injuries, and diseases. An interdisciplinary team of experienced neurorehabilitation specialists supports the patients over the entire time of their rehabilitation. As one of the leading specialty rehabilitation hospitals for neurological rehabilitation, the Rehaklinik Zihlschlacht implements the most innovative therapeutic approaches and technologies, highly intensive and individualized therapy programs provided by experienced rehab professionals in interdisciplinary teams, strong partnerships, and professional networks.

The Valens Rehab Center is an inpatient rehabilitation center, part of the Kliniken Valens group, together with other 8 centers across Switzerland. Kliniken Valens group is recognized as pioneers and opinion-formers in the Swiss rehabilitation field. Since 2003, the Valens Rehab Center has implemented robotics and technology for rehabilitation and has been an innovator in the intelligent clinical integration of technology, therapy planning, and development of clinical protocols.

The Center for Neurology & Rehabilitation – cereneo is one of the leading rehabilitation and research centers in the field of stroke, Parkinson, trauma, and brain disease. Founded in 2012 in Vitznau, near Luzerne, it has expanded since then to be recognized as a widely known reference center. Equipped also with their own research institute and thanks to strong research collaborations, they do not only implement innovative technologies into their practices as fast as possible, but they also test their efficiency in treatment.

Swiss Children’s Rehab, University Children’s Hospital Zurich, Switzerland. The Children’s Hospital Zurich is the largest pediatric university hospital in Switzerland and one of the leading pediatric medical centers in Europe. Patients from newborns to 18­year­olds receive care at the hospital. The aim of the rehabilitation center in Affoltern am Albiscenter is to help the affected children and adolescents to become as independent as possible, thereby improving the quality of life of the whole family. The rehabilitation programs are continually being developed through the projects of the Pediatric Rehab Research Group, which focuses on robotic and computer-assisted movement therapy in a virtual environment.

Nextherapy is a neurorehabilitation outpatient center in the heart of Zurich. Nextherapy specializes in treating physical disabilities resulting from brain and spinal cord injuries, such as cerebral palsy, acquired brain injury, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, spinal cord injury, and stroke. Their use of highly specialized evidence-based protocols allows them to maximize patients’ recovery goals. By integrating the latest technology into their daily rehabilitation practice, Nextherapy stands out as an exceptional outpatient center in Zurich.
