REFERENCE CENTERS

The Rehabilitation Centre Valens is part of the Clinics Valens group, together with other 4 centers in Switzerland plus one under construction. Clinics Valens are recognized as pioneers and opinion-formers in the Swiss rehabilitation field. Since 2003, the Rehabilitation Center Valens implements robotics and technology for rehabilitation and has been an innovator in the intelligent clinical integration of technology, therapy planning and development of clinical protocols.

Outpatient Center St. Gallen is part of the Clinics Valens group and it offers an interdisciplinary approach to rehabilitation. Physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, neuropsychologists and doctors work hand in hand under one roof. The center offers state-of-the-art equipment in a very modern location.

University Children’s Hospital Zurich Rehabilitation Center Affoltern am Albis. The Children’s Hospital Zurich is the largest pediatric university hospital in Switzerland and one of the leading pediatric medical centers in Europe. Patients from newborns to 18­year­olds receive care at the hospital. The aim of the rehabilitation center in Affoltern am Albiscenter is to help the affected children and adolescents to become as independent as possible, thereby improving the quality of life of the whole family. The rehabilitation programs are continually being developed through the projects of the Pediatric Rehab Research Group, which focuses on robotic and computer-assisted movement therapy in a virtual environment.

The Rehabilitation Clinic Zihlschlacht specializes in the treatment of brain and nerve injured patients. For 30 years, the clinic and its employees have been focusing exclusively on the treatment and recovery of stroke, brain injuries and diseases. An interdisciplinary team of experienced neurorehabilitation specialists supports the patients over the entire time of their rehabilitation. As one of the leading speciality clinics for neurological rehabilitation, the Rehabilitation Clinic Zihlschlacht implements the most innovative therapeutic approaches and technologies, highly intensive and individualized therapy programs provided by experienced rehab professionals in interdisciplinary teams, strong partnerships and professional networks.

Hospital Hochzirl is part of the Tyrol Clinics group. The Department of Neurology at Hospital Hochzirl in Austria is a 74-bed unit for post-acute neurorehabilitation. Since 2002, the department is equipped with a robotic gym including four Lokomat, Erigo, Armeo, Amadeo and Hirob. Hochzirl successfully implements an efficient training setting combining different technologies with conventional therapy.

The outpatient center Revigo offers clients with physical limitations an efficient setting using the latest technology. Strong partners from industry, medicine and science have joined forces to shape the rehabilitation of tomorrow. Together, Hocoma, the Rehabilitation Center Zihlschlacht, Vamed and the ZHAW stand for competence and innovation in the development, integration and securing of forward-looking solutions in medical care.
