HOCOMA LAUNCHES THE WORLD’S FIRST COMMERCIALLY AVAILABLE ROBOTIC ARM EXOSKELETON FOR NEUROREHABILITATION

After being the first to release a robotic gait orthosis in 2001, the Swiss medical technology company Hocoma now presents the world’s first commercially available robotic arm exoskeleton. As a part of the established Armeo® Therapy Concept, the ArmeoPower was designed for severely affected individuals who have suffered neurological disorders resulting in hand and arm impairment. The ArmeoPower provides an assist-as-needed support in an extensive 3D workspace and a virtual reality exercise environment for a higher patient motivation. The ArmeoPower will further expand Hocoma’s market leadership in robotic rehabilitation therapy. more

KESSLER IS THE FIRST CENTER IN THE U.S. TO USE THE NEW VERSION OF THE LOKOMATPRO

The Swiss-based medical technology company expands the effective gait therapy with the LokomatPro, which features additional functions as well as future upgrading options. Kessler Foundation/Kessler Institute of Rehabilitation becomes the first rehabilitation center in the U.S. to use the new Lokomat generation. more

HOCOMA LAUNCHES A NEW VERSION OF ITS ESTABLISHED GAIT TRAINING DEVICE LOKOMATPRO

The Swiss based medical technology expands the effective gait therapy with the LokomatPro. The new version of the LokomatPro features additional functions as well as future upgrading options. The needs and experience of therapists and patients were included in the development of the device. The new version of the LokomatPro is already successfully applied in clinics in Switzerland, Germany and France. The clinics especially appreciate the easier handling of the body weight support system and the design that allows for the therapists to be closer to the patient. more
