DIH is proud to announce a major milestone in its US journey, celebrating over a decade of successful collaboration with Sheltering Arms Institute, a state-of-the-art inpatient physical rehabilitation hospital and network of outpatient centers, named among the Best Hospitals nationwide for 2023-2024 in physical rehabilitation by U.S. News & World Report.

Through partnerships with leading institutions in the US and Worldwide, DIH has built a network that promotes the exchange of ideas, research, and best practices.

Since the beginning of this collaboration, DIH, with its brands Hocoma and Motek, and Sheltering Arms Institute, have combined their expertise to lead the way in groundbreaking initiatives that have reshaped the landscape of rehabilitation, following a mutual mission of delivering the best possible care to patients in need.

Today, Sheltering Arms Institute houses DIH’s Total Solution, including the Lokomat®Pro, C-Mill, Andago®, RYSEN, Erigo®, Armeo®Power, and Armeo®Spring. Sheltering Arms Institute deploys the technology over the entire continuum of care to serve people with a variety of diagnoses and ability levels.

One of the reasons I particularly like the devices from DIH is that we’ve been able to incorporate levels of people all the way from those that are not even able to get up right yet to people that are ready to run and play basketball,” said Amber Walter, Director of Clinical Science at Sheltering Arms Institute.

Matt Wilks, Chief Rehabilitation Officer, added, “Our patients that we have served here, 9 out of 10 patients give us the highest patient satisfaction score, and that translates into increased volumes in our outpatient clinics. We’ll see over 110,000 visits this year alone. Much of that will be because of our advanced technology.”

“At DIH, we take great pride in providing our state-of-the-art devices to Sheltering Arms Institute. We are honored to have earned their trust and to witness the positive impact our technology has had on their operations. Together, we are pushing the boundaries of what is possible, creating a brighter future where robotics revolutionize the way we live and work,” concluded a DIH representative.

As DIH and Sheltering Arms Institute commemorate over ten years of successful collaboration, they remain committed to shaping the future of rehabilitation through innovation, research, and a shared dedication to improving patients’ lives.
