Zurich, June 27, 2013 – Already for the 5th time, the INRS takes place in Zurich, Switzerland and offers therapists, clinicians, engineers and scientists a valuable platform to discuss latest developments and possibilities in the rehabilitation of diseases and injuries of the central nervous system. The city of Zurich is considered the leading location for new rehabilitation technologies worldwide and with renowned educational institutions such as the ETH Zurich (Swiss Federal Institute of Technology) it offers participants of the symposium a perfect environment for a knowledge exchange.
Focus on newest technological therapy concepts and their integration into the clinical routine
Although new technologies have only recently made their appearance in the field of neurorehabilitation, they are now widely accepted by a majority of clinicians and therapists as supporting tools in clinical routine. The general consensus is that these technologies should be used on the basis of individual patient requirements and training goals in order to ensure a safe, tailor-made and effective rehabilitation. State-of-the-art technological concepts for robot supported gait, arm and hand therapy, early mobilization and assessments are the topics of this year’s symposium. The main focus that will be discussed and addressed at the INRS 2103 is how to efficiently integrate new technologies into the clinical setting and along the clinical path to the best benefit of patients and therapists.

The INRS with its emphasis on innovative future technologies of neurological rehabilitation is one of the main events in this field and presents once again a wide range of different workshops, discussions and renowned speakers from Great Britain, USA, Canada, Germany and Switzerland.
