Swiss rehabilitation technology brand Hocoma has released a new video of stroke patient Donald Shockley and his recovery experiences using the Andago over ground device. The Andago was launched four years ago by Hocoma and now can be found in more than 100 facilities worldwide helping patients regain confidence in walking without fear of falling. As Mr. Shockley states during the video filmed at MossRehab in the USA:
“You don’t have to worry about falling and that’s one good thing. […] And it takes the fear of what you normally have.”
The video captures how his training enabled freedom and improved his trust in walking after recovering from a stroke.
“It gave me a whole lot more confidence in walking.”
Mr. Shockley’s story was made with the hope to inspire others going through similar rehabilitation to take away the fear of falling and bring back confidence and joy in walking.
