The idea for this special advertising on the wall of the clinic Gibanje came up, when physiotherapist Zdenka Šefman decided to provide her patients with the ArmeoSpring – the world’s most widely used arm rehabilitation exoskeleton, based on research and development conducted at the University of California, Irvine (UCI) and at the rehabilitation Institute of Chicago (RIC). The company behind the Armeo is Hocoma, global market leader for the development, manufacturing and marketing of robotic and sensor based devices for functional movement therapy.
Since innovative technologies ask for innovative ways to stay in the mind of the consumer, Hocoma wanted to design an out-of-the-box ad that catches your eye but still reminds you of the cause behind the products – to help patients regain hand and arm function and therefore improve their quality of life. The device improves the functional outcomes and efficiency of therapy by offering self-initiated, motivating and intense exercises to individuals who have suffered strokes, traumatic brain injury or neurological disorders resulting in hand and arm impairment.
Therapists and patients are excited about the new device and its features. “Since I’m training with the Armeo, therapy is extremely fun and I’m always motivated to reach new levels. It’s amazing how many different exercises there are and that therapy has such a positive effect on my arm function” said a patient who just started training at Gibanje. Therapists are now able to focus on their patients and can assess and document their progress, to determine the next appropriate challenge and promote the optimum therapy and best possible outcomes.
