Augmented Performance Feedback

Spinalis-anterior-Syndrom Patient, Fachkrankenhaus Neckargemünd, Germany

As a standard feature of the new version of the LokomatPro, the Augmented Performance Feedback enhances the patient’s active participation with motivating, challenging and instructive functional feedback in virtual environments. During the gait training, the patient can move through various engaging virtual environments while solving different exercises (see examples at ”Videos”).

This encourages and helps to improve the patient’s compliance. The exercises range from tasks in which the patients have to collect randomly distributed objects in the virtual environments to tasks in which they have to avoid certain objects and tasks that combine the two. The difficulty level can be adapted for each exercise according to the patient’s needs and abilities as well as the individual therapy progress.

"Training with the Augmented Feedback is highly motivating for the patients. This effect is visible from the first session."

Dr. Friedemann Müller, Head Physician, Neurologische Klinik Bad Aibling, Germany
